The Tsunami Forged 8 Lever Drag Reel brings everything the other Forged sizes brought in a smaller more compact package. The Forged 8 is constructed of a one-piece forged aluminum body and is very rugged. The exterior coating does a great job of protecting it from the rigors of saltwater fishing. While the exterior is incredibly strong, it’s on the inside where the Forged 8 shines. Not only does it feature a powerful and smooth carbon drag system, but that drag system increases incrementally as you push the lever forward. You might think all lever drags do this but you’d be surprised how many go from little drag to a lot of drag with very little movement of the lever. If you want to do some casting, that’s not a problem. The aluminum free floating spool generates amazing free spool so you’ll really be able to get distance on your casts. Tsunami went above and beyond to ensure that the gears and bearings are all high quality stainless steel. This helps make the reel powerful, smooth and will increase longevity. On top of this, the Forged 8 has an anti-reverse bearing and two anti-reverse dogs, and a great aluminum handle with EVA power knob.
